- To Conclude
Shayabets is a South African bookmaker and casino that started in 2026 and allows accounts with one rand. Shayabets Eastern Cape (Pty) Ltd has licenses from the Eastern Cape Gambling Board and KwaZulu-Natal. However, neither license number appeared on the National Gambling Board's verified operators list when checked on July 17, 2026. It's a good idea to confirm with the regulator before settling any bets.
If you use the promo code BETS where it's requested, you'll get a R50 sports bet, a 100% match on your deposit up to R5,000, and 25 spins for Pragmatic Play games. Football is their main offering, with Aviator and Lucky Numbers also available. Betting windows are short, the minimum odds are 2.00, and there's no app for iOS devices.
Overview
Shayabets entered the market after Hollywoodbets and Betway, as well as established bookies in the Eastern Cape, had already built a customer base. Their offering includes a local cashier, a wide selection of football matches, a bonus that's bigger than the typical R100 token, and the Aviator game accessible through the same login.
This is a decent option if you typically bet on the PSL and European football at odds of even money or higher, and if you can use the bonus over a weekend. However, it's less appealing if you're looking for a licensed betting site already recognised by the NGB, an iPhone app, live streaming of matches, or a free bet that's valid for more than a day.
Signing up is standard: you'll need to provide your legal name, mobile number, email address, and age. You'll also have to complete FICA verification before you can withdraw any winnings. You must be 18 or older to bet.

Sportsbook
Football is the confirmed core. There are more than 2,300 pre-match fixtures and about 145 in-play football events, covering the PSL, Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Champions League and Europa League. Affiliate sports lists add rugby, cricket, tennis, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, boxing, MMA and American sports, and say they carry 30-plus sports. Horse racing is named on the operator-facing review. Tips did not independently confirm every side sport. Open the coupon before you deposit for a niche.
Football
- PSL and South African Premiership prices are the local reason to be here.
- European leagues are where the fixture count comes from.
- In-play football is open. Streaming is not confirmed.
- 2 Goal Up pays a qualifying football bet early if your side leads by two. Read which competitions sit inside that rule.
- Bonus bets need 2.00. A short favourite does not count. Doubles and underdogs do.
Rugby and cricket
- Both are named on the deposit-match ticket, so they are the other legal homes for bonus funds.
- Currie Cup and Super Rugby prices, plus Springboks tests when listed, are the rugby use.
- Cricket covers Tests, ODIs and T20s on affiliate lists, including domestic T20 leagues.
- A three-day bonus window does not suit a Test match. Use T20 or a one-day international if the token is running out.
Racing, esports and the rest
- Horse racing is named. Market depth against Hollywoodbets is not established. Do not move a racing bankroll until you have priced a meeting side by side.
- Esports appears on lists. It is not named on the match-bonus sports list.
- Tennis and basketball are side boards.
- Lucky Numbers is a separate product, with reported voucher promos from R5 lines.
| Need | Shayabets | Better elsewhere |
|---|---|---|
| PSL singles at 2.00+ | Yes | Hollywoodbets for more props |
| In-play football | Yes, about 145 events cited | Betway if you need pictures |
| 2 Goal Up | Listed | Compare the sport list with Betway’s 2Up |
| Horse racing | Named, depth unproven | Hollywoodbets |
| Test cricket bonus clearance | Poor, 3-day window | A longer-dated token |
| Live streams | Not confirmed | Betway, Hollywoodbets on selected events |
Casino
The welcome spins are a side dish. The lobby is the rest.
| Product | What is offered | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Slots | Classic and video slots, Pragmatic-named | 25 spins only on selected titles |
| Live casino | Roulette, blackjack, baccarat, game-show style titles reported | Separate tab. Depth not counted |
| Aviator | Crash multiplier | Confirmed as a product. Cash out before the round ends |
| Other crash / 3D | Mentioned on some reviews | Do not assume Spaceman or JetX |
| Lucky Numbers | Daily draws | R5 lines tied to voucher promos |
| Betgames | Number and card studio games | Listed beside Aviator |
| Table RNG | Implied by a full lobby | Not separately counted |
Aviator is the difference against LuckyStake, which does not offer it. It is also the risk. A crash round is a fast way to lose a matched deposit that was supposed to be turned over on football at 2.00. Keep Aviator on cash you have already cleared.
Spin maths is poor if you expected a gift. Twenty-five spins at about 40c is R10 of stake. At 50x winnings, a R20 spin return needs R1,000 of play. Take the spins as a look at the lobby, not as value.
Shayabets Compared with Other SA Casinos
Local casino play on these sites sits on provincial bookmaker licences.

| YesPlay | Western Cape | 100% to R3,000, about 8x | Casino-led | Thinner sports identity | 1Voucher and EFT |
| 10bet | Mpumalanga | 100% to about R5,000, ~35x cited | Large lobby | More sports listed | Ozow, cards, wider stack |
| Gbets | Local bookie | R50 bet | Mid-size | Wider sport count on some lists | Local rails |

To Conclude
Shayabets is a new online betting site. It offers a football coupon, the Aviator game, and local payment options. New users can get a welcome bonus that's bigger than a R100 token, but it has strict conditions. Use the promo code if the registration form asks for one. Remember to activate the bonus in the "Bonuses" tab before you make a deposit.
Shayabets doesn't offer much more than this. The license information is currently only stated by the operator; the official portal or board has not yet confirmed it. The time limits for bonuses are short. There's also a noticeable difference in performance on iPhones. It's best to use Shayabets as a secondary account for football and Aviator, alongside sites like Hollywoodbets, rather than as your primary betting wallet.
Only bet with money you can afford to lose. Complete your FICA verification before you need to withdraw funds. And make sure to read your betting ticket carefully after entering the code BETS.
